Welcome to the Blue Hammers

The Blue Hammers is a cycling club located in and around Orlando, FL. We are a group of likeminded athletes that enjoy the camaraderie of training together. We promote good health, safety, and education.

The Blue Hammer members come from diverse backgrounds including: bankers, accountants, engineers, doctors, and mechanics (just to name a few). All our members currently are male and their ages range greatly with individuals in their 20s to 60s. We are all bonded by our common enjoyment of cycling and an overall healthy lifestyle.

Cycling is a diverse sport and our members participate in many of its disciplines. The Blue Hammers as a group participate in long distance events such as The Ride across Florida, which is a 167 mile bike ride in one day from Coco Beach to Tampa, and Six Gap century which is a 100 mile ride through Dahlonega, GA with over 12,000 feet of climbing. Some, but not all of our members, carry race licenses and race representing the club and/or other local bike racing teams. The Blue Hammers is supported by its members and its local sponsors. Our sponsors include: Implant Solutions Today, Surgical Solutions Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,  Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Jonnie’s Fillin Station, Avcon Engineering, Remax, Ole Smoky and Ion Fit Club Tri Training Team.   Links to these sponsors sites and information can be found in our Sponsor section of our site.

The Blue Hammers partake in annual local cycling events, weekly community rides, and their own created group rides. Our Site provides information and directions to our rides and links to other available bike activities. We are always looking for new likeminded members. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Encore Cycling would like to invite you to our inaugural First Coast Criterium on Sunday, May 22nd.

The racing will be on the closed course of the First Coast Technical College Driver Training Course. It is a challenging, .75 mile loop with 6 turns.

We have criteriums for A (Cat 1/2/3), B (Cat 3/4), C (Cat 4/5) and Women (1-4). We are also introducing the 1 Lap Blast Time Trial, designed to test your power and your skill. This time trial is one lap of the criterium course (only .75 mile), using the same equipment you’ll use in the criteriums (so no TT bikes, aerobars or disk wheels).

Entry is $20 for the criterium and $5 for the time trial. Your 2nd criterium entry fee is only $10. Registration is on-site only.
